Congratulations to AC Milan on winning their 19th Serie A title and their first in over a decade. I Rossoneri sealed the title with a 3-0 win over Sassuolo. Their local rivals, Inter, finished 2nd after 3-0 and Napoli finished 3rd with the same winning scoreline.
For manager Stefano Pioli, it was redemption having moved from Inter in 2019 (and you know how football fans hate anyone joining from their rival team) and an end to the aborted missions of his predecessors. Here’s what the press had to say about Milan and Pioli:
- AC Milan win Serie A title after 11-year wait, club inspired by Kobe Bryant
- AC Milan win Scudetto and Paolo Maldini’s front office work further cements his status as a club legend
- How Pioli, Maldini & Ibrahimovic brought AC Milan back from the brink of bankruptcy to Serie A champions
- Stefano Pioli: AC Milan head coach to be given new Serie A winners’ medal after first was stolen during pitch invasion
- The Milan supporter who stole Stefano Pioli’s Serie A winner’s medal has seemingly shown off his ill-gotten gains on social media
It’s been a wild ride. Let’s see how they do next season.
