In this case, I found a video by Trevor Sports featuring Athletic Bilbao vs Aston Villa in the 1997/98 UEFA Cup. That didn’t seem out of the ordinary as I love 90s football… except it had “Football on 5 [PES 2021]” at the end. PES? Pro Evolution Soccer? I had to investigate.
What I found was a personal project masterpiece. Trevor Sports uses a special patch for PES 2021 which adds players and kits from 1997 and makes extended highlights videos of matches from the 1996/97 and 1997/98 seasons, including TV idents. As someone who seeks 90s TV nostalgia daily, this is like a treasure trove to me. Not only that, he uses Sims 4 to add a studio presenter for that added touch of realism.
