Our friends at cm9798.co.uk put together a very handy guide on how to use it and all you’ll need is a computer that can run .exe files (so Windows or an OS that can run Windows somehow) and some kind of spreadsheet program (Excel, OpenOffice Calc, or Google Sheets will do).
I’ve never tried editing a 97/98 database (in fact, I’ve not played the game in over 20 years!) but seeing the relative simplicity of it all is amazing for an old DOS game.
