Ademola Lookman's virtuoso performance in the 2024 Europa League final

Atalanta beat Bayer Leverkusen 3–0 in the Europa League final a few nights ago, and while the headlines were about the Italian club ending Leverkusen’s 51-match unbeaten run, the real spectacle was Ademola Lookman phenomenal solo performance.

The Nigerian striker became the first player to score a hat-trick in a UEFA Europa League final, making it one of the best individual performances in European club football history. It’s been a meteoric rise since Lookman’s days in non-league, followed by stints at Charlton, Everton, RB Leipzig, and not Atalanta.
