Congrats to Andy Murray for reaching the Stuttgart Open final; his first since Antwerp in 2019 and his first grass final since his 2016 Wimbledon title win. He beat Nick Kyrgios in straight sets which saw the Australian get a game penalty after smashing his racquet and having to deal with racial abuse from a spectator.
“When is this going to stop? Dealing with racist slurs from the crowd?” Kyrgios wrote on Instagram.
“When I retaliate to the crowd I get penalised. This is messed up.”

Meanwhile, Murray is upbeat about his next match against Berrettini in the final:
“I’m happy to be in the final. I’ve played well this week and I’ve got a great opportunity against Matteo tomorrow.”
You’ve got Nadal winning yet another French Open despite age and injury adversity and now Murray in a grass final with his metal hip (not to mention Federer on his way back later this year when he’ll be 41). These old guys can’t be stopped.
