I haven’t watched the NFL seriously since Colin Kaepernick was blacklisted so I completely missed the fact that an NFL Wild Card game — the Chicago Bears vs. the New Orleans Saints — was broadcasted on Nickelodeon yesterday.
But rather than emulating regular sports networks with their commentary and delivery, they stayed true to themselves with celebrity kid commentators (here is Little Sheldon explaining a false start), slime cannons, and Spongebob Squarepants between the goalposts.
If every NFL game was this fun, I’d consider watching it again (although I wouldn’t keep the trend of the Bears losing on TV).
