Hackney Laces has revealed its new kit and it's gorgeous

When I started a Championship Manager 01/02 save with Inter Leipzig, it helped that the German club wore orange as its home kit (and the dark blue away kit is especially nice too.) And now there’s a new club doing something similar.

Hackney Laces is a women’s community football club based in East London. Set up in 2011, the club describes itself as “a place for girls and women to come and play football because there just weren’t enough opportunities for females to play”. Laces run youth teams for 11-17 year olds alongside its senior women’s team and also has two sister clubs: Limehouse Laces and South London Laces.

For its new kit, Hackney Laces collaborated closely with its official kit sponsor, Nomad, to create a new logo and “a truly iconic look that reflected the club’s attitude”.

The navy/pink combo is beautiful as is the orange goalkeeper kit. You can buy the home strip from the Hackney Laces store and I recommend you do for aesthetic and community-bolstering purposes.
