It’s always nice to see Gaël Monfils playing well but it’s even better seeing him in tournament finals. In a few hours, he’ll play Karen Khachanov in the Adelaide International 1 final after beating home boy Thanasi Kokkinakis 7-5 6-0 in 80 minutes.
If Monfils wins, it’ll be his 11th career title and his first since Rotterdam in 2020. In the meantime, this final continues his run of final appearances in every year since 2005 and his first January final since 2014. Good luck, Gaël!
