FM24 is out now and if you wanted to take your player recruitment to the next level, you could always try using Python like squirrel_plays has. In the above video, he goes through his process involving exporting player data, scoring them, and using those benchmarks to find players that fit the mould—and improve what’s already there.
FM24 squad building approach:
- Fix the tactic first then recruit for the tactic
- Squad grid – 2 per position
- Sort out the finances
- Player recruitment: Fill gaps, improve weak links (export attribute data from FM using filters then use python to rank and compare)
I don’t think I’ll be getting FM24—at least not at full price—but I do love Python and it’s nice to see it in action with Football Manager.
