Probably the greatest final I’ve ever watched (and I watched their meeting at Wimbledon in 2008) and yes I’m biased because Federer won this time but I don’t care. It’s wild to think this was 5 years ago and both players are still on tour, albeit in slightly different places. Federer is realistically months away from retirement now rather than years and Nadal is still in Melbourne. But regardless of the result from 2017, it was an unforgettable final.
