Winter Olympics video games are a very small niche in the sports game genre, seeing as they only crop up once every 4 years and the first Winter Games game appeared in 1993 (aptly named Winter Olympics). Nagano Winter Olympics ’98 was came 4 years later and featured 10 sports:
- Ice skating
- Skiing
- Luge
- Bobsleigh
- Slalom
- Curling
- Halfpipe
- Snowboarding
The above video shows a playthrough of those events in all their 64-bit glory.
Fun fact: This was the last licensed Olympic video game released on a Nintendo non-handheld until Mario and Sonic at the Olympic Games in 2007.
