Jeff Sackmann aka Tennis Abstract has made a tennis version of Six Degrees of Kevin Bacon. He’s called it Nine Degrees of Spencer Gore and it all started when he tried to link Bill Tilden with the ATP’s “Big Four”:
But then he expanded it to include the WTA (via Renee Richards, a former pro who completed her transition in 1975) and kept on going. The ‘Nine Degrees of Spencer Gore’ part came from a link between Spencer Gore and Novak Djokovic. Answers on a postcard if you can shorten any of these or find some wild new connections.
