It’s been 21 years since England’s fateful match against Portugal at Euro 2000. A Luís Figo-inspired Portugal side came back from 2-0 to win and while it might seem backwards that I’d post this after England beat Croatia 1-0 yesterday (their first-ever opening win at the European Championships—I know, right?), it’s nostalgic to me, a friend of mine posted about it on Instagram the other day, and this is my site, okay? And who could resist that goal from Figo?
