Congratulations to Luca Brecel on his first World Snooker Championship. Having never won a match at the Crucible, the Belgian overcame the likes of reigning champion Ronnie O’Sullivan, snooker starlet Si Jiahui with arguably the greatest comeback in history (he was 14-5 down), and four-time champion Mark Selby (who made a maximum in the final) to win his first World title and become the first world snooker champion from mainland Europe.
