Jesper Tjäder sets new world record for longest rail grind on skis

One of the more unique Guinness World Records involving skis, Jesper Tjäder is now the new record holder for “longest rail grind on skis”. According to InTheSnow, it took the Swede 3 days and 127 attempts to land it, achieving a distance of 154.49 metres (just under 507ft). Tjäder had a starting speed of about 47.85 mph, which is about 20 mph faster than Usain Bolt’s top speed when he set the 100m world record in 2009 (if that means anything to anyone in any context.)
