While listening to the radio this afternoon, I had a thought: has every Premier League team been represented by the men’s England team since 1992? I decided to trawl the internet to check. My criteria:
- The player had to have played for a Premier League club since 15th August 1992 and
- Have played for them when they received their cap
And the answer?
No! As of 18th May 2023, a total of 43/49 clubs have been represented at England international level with the missing clubs being:
- Blackpool
- Bradford City
- Huddersfield Town
- Hull City (I think?)
- Oldham Athletic
- Swindon Town
I’ll update this if anything changes but given the position of most of these clubs, I don’t see it.
