Uni Watch owner Paul Lukas announced some sad news: Uni Watch is shutting down. He wrote a lengthy post explaining the decision and it’s multi-fold:

Due to a perfect storm of negative developments, I have reluctantly come to the unfortunate conclusion that continuing to publish Uni Watch is no longer viable. This will be the site’s final post.

Yes, I’m serious. And no, this isn’t a Halloween-related prank. Uni Watch is shutting down, for real.

Of the “perfect storm of bad developments”, there were some chronic health issues the site’s web dev John Ekdahl, significant revenue drops, and an “absentee owner” aka Paul.

I’ve obviously written about Uni Watch in the past and the site had a fantastic run so it’s sad to know they’re shutting down. For any links I’ve posted, I’ve now replaced them with Web Archive versions as they also said that they won’t be archiving the site (in fact, they’ve deleted everything up to the last few days).

Thanks for the memories. Loved ya suits!
