Until 2019, with the exceptions of 1994 (Olajuwon from Nigeria) and 2005–2007 (Nash from Canada and Dirk from Germany), every winner was American. But the last 7 winners have been from outside the US (Giannis – Greece, Jokic from Serbia, Embiid from Cameroon, and Shai Gilgeous-Alexander from Canada)
I bet the sports nationalists are seething.
